WHAT IS SUFFIX AND PREFIX?

prefix is a word part added to the beginning of a word that changes the word's meaning.


 A suffix is a word part added to the end of a word that changes the word's meaning.

 
Learning the meanings of prefixes and suffixes will help expand your vocabulary, which will help improve your writing.


NOW, LET'S SEE SOME EXAMPLES

SUFFIX:-

WORDS:-  CHEER+FUL, SAD+LY, MOVE+MENT, FIT+NESS, END+LESS


SENTENCES:-   CHEERFUL:- Tina was very cheerful and friendly on her birthday.
                          
                            SADLY:- Ethan sadly left the movie because he was too late. 
                             
                             MOVEMENT:- Dean felt a movement behind him and looked up to see a young man looking at him.

                             FITNESS:-  Nutrition and exercise essential for fitness and health.

                             ENDLESS:- Rinku was bored with her friends endless talk.

WORDS:-   DIS +HONEST, IN+CORRECT, CO+PILOT, MIS+TAKE, FORE +SEEN


SENTENCES:- DISHONEST:- Some people are dishonest.

                            CO-PILOT:- When I grow up I will be a co-pilot.


                             MISTAKE:- Making mistakes are common.
